With the spirit of “Mutual support – the good leaves protect tattered ones” and to join hands with the Government and the community in promptly supporting those in the Northern provinces severely affected by Typhoon No. 03 (Yagi), on September 24, 2024, Hino Motors Vietnam donated 100 million VND to assist flood-affected communities in six Northern mountainous provinces. This amount was directly transferred to the account of the Hanoi Fatherland Front Committee to support relief and recovery efforts after the natural disaster.
Super Typhoon Yagi, the strongest storm in 30 years, unleashed devastating destruction as it hit Northern Vietnam, causing flash floods, landslides, and post-storm flooding, leaving heavy consequences for many local communities. Hundreds of people have died, gone missing, or been injured, thousands of homes were damaged, crops were destroyed, and the lives of the affected people have become extremely difficult. In response, the Government, various organizations, businesses, and benefactors across the country have been urgently implementing numerous solutions to help the people overcome the aftermath of the storm and flooding.
This is one of the meaningful social contributions that Hino Motors Vietnam wishes to bring to Vietnam, demonstrating our commitment to standing alongside the Vietnamese people in overcoming all challenges and hardships. We believe that, with the support from various resources, the people of the North will overcome this challenge and rebuild their lives for the better.
